Thiago Reis spent years laying floors for another company. He was good at it, and he kept noticing the same thing: the gap between the work he wanted to hand people and the work the schedule allowed. In 2012 he decided the only way to close that gap was to own it, so he founded Hardwood Kings with a simple operating idea. Treat every client like family, and do the job the way you would want it done in your own house.
Fourteen years later the company is still built around that sentence. Thiago quotes the jobs himself, works with the same crew year after year, and keeps the operation local: licensed, certified, and insured, based in Shawnee, working a fifty mile circle of the Kansas City metro.
