Industrial Flooring
Warehouses, shops, and light-industrial facilities measure floors in point loads and forklift lanes, not style boards. We install industrial flooring systems specified from your equipment list and your operations calendar.
Specification by the numbers
Industrial flooring starts with load math: what rolls across the floor, how much it weighs at the wheel, what chemistry might land on it, and what temperature swings the space sees. From there the menu ranges across heavy-duty vinyl and rubber systems for staff and mixed-use zones, impact-rated tile for demanding wet or chemical areas, and coordination on coating systems where bare concrete needs protection. The spec sheet answers to your equipment list, not to fashion.
Industrial installs run around production the way our other commercial work runs around business hours: phased zones with maintained travel lanes, weekend changeovers for critical areas, and honest cure windows because a floor put back into forklift service early is a floor being destroyed in slow motion. The schedule commitments go in writing and they survive contact with operations because they were realistic from the start.
Break rooms, offices, and locker areas inside industrial buildings get their own right-sized specs too, and having one contractor floor the whole facility, from forklift lane to lunch table, keeps the project and the paperwork simple.
What the job includes

- Phased installation with maintained forklift and travel lanes
- Cure-window honesty before zones return to load service
- Mixed-zone facility work: production, office, and break areas
- Documentation for safety and facility management files
How commercial jobs run
Scope and schedule
We walk the space with you or your property manager, nail down the scope, and build a schedule around your business hours, nights and weekends included.
Site protection
Work zones contained, walkways kept safe and open, dust and noise managed so you can keep operating while we work.
Phased installation
Large floors go in phases so part of your space stays usable. Materials are spec'd for the traffic your business actually sees.
Punch list and handoff
We walk the finished floor with you, clear the punch list, and hand off maintenance guidance so the floor lasts.
Industrial floor failures are operational failures
When an industrial floor fails, the cost is rarely the floor: it is the lane closed during repairs, the pallet racking emptied for access, the production rerouted around the patch. That is why under-speccing to win a bid is the most expensive favor anyone can do you, and why our industrial quotes show the load math. A floor specified honestly against your heaviest wheel is cheap insurance against operational surgery two years in.
The other candid note: substrate condition rules everything in industrial work. Cracked, contaminated, or moisture-active slabs must be corrected before any system goes down, and oil-soaked concrete in older shops needs real remediation, not optimism. We test and quote what the slab genuinely requires, because industrial flooring over a failed substrate is a scheduled reinstallation.
If your facility runs shifts, tell us the quiet windows early: phasing around a two-shift operation is normal for us, but it is planned, not improvised.
What working with us looks like
You deal with the owner, start to finish. Thiago quotes the job, the same crew does the work, and the site gets left clean enough that the only evidence we were there is the floor. Licensed, certified, insured, and honestly reviewed at 5.0 on Google. The company exists because Thiago wanted to treat every client like family, and fourteen years of referrals say the idea works.
Materials specified, not just supplied
Commercial flooring is bought by the spec sheet, and we read them for a living: traffic classifications, wear ratings, slip coefficients, rolling-load numbers, and the warranty terms hiding behind the marketing. Sourcing through ProSource Wholesale and commercial distributors keeps material pricing competitive, and speccing honestly keeps the floor from becoming a line item again in three years.
Every commercial proposal we write names the products, their ratings, and why they match your space’s actual use. If a cheaper product genuinely meets your traffic, we will offer it. If the bid next to ours got cheap by dropping a rating your business needs, we will show you exactly which line to compare. Floors are easier to buy well when the paperwork is honest.
Where we do this work
Industrial work serves facilities along the Lenexa and Olathe I-35 corridor, shops in Kansas City, KS, and light-industrial spaces across Jackson County, MO.
Our shop sits in Shawnee and the working radius runs fifty miles in every direction, which covers Johnson, Wyandotte, and Jackson counties and everything between. If you are anywhere in the KC metro and need industrial flooring handled by people who do it every week, you are inside the circle.

(913) 915-3193hardwoodkingsinc@gmail.comCan you install flooring while our facility keeps running?
Yes, that is the industrial default: phased zones, maintained travel lanes, and weekend changeovers for critical areas. The phasing plan is engineered around your operations and committed in writing.
What floors survive forklift traffic?
Systems rated for the point loads at the wheel: heavy-duty resilient products, impact-rated tile, and protected concrete depending on the zone. The equipment list writes the spec, and we ask for it first.
Our old shop slab is oil-stained. Can new flooring go over it?
Only after real remediation: contaminated concrete rejects adhesives and coatings. We test, remediate what the readings demand, and only then install. Anything else is a reinstallation on a schedule.
Do you coordinate with concrete coating contractors?
Yes. Some zones want coatings rather than applied flooring, and we coordinate the whole-facility solution so one project covers both, with clean transitions between systems.
How do cure times affect our production schedule?
Each system has non-negotiable windows before foot and load service, and we build the phasing around them honestly. Zones return to service on the written schedule, not on optimism, which is how the floor lasts.
How do I get a price for industrial flooring?
Call (913) 915-3193 or send the contact form with a rough description of the rooms and what is on the floor now. Thiago comes out, looks at the actual conditions, measures, and hands you a straight price in writing, usually within a few days of your call. No pressure follows it, and the number does not mutate once work starts.

Ready to talk about your floors?
Call, describe the floor, and Thiago will come see it himself. You get a straight price in writing and honest advice either way.
